Avocado

A restaurant that takes orders online, at the counter and at the table.

Avocado is a bowl restaurant in Menton. We plugged its approved mock-up into our restaurant engine: online ordering, payment, and a real-time kitchen screen.

01The brief

The owner wanted the site exactly like the approved mock-up, but with a real engine behind it: orders reaching the kitchen without re-typing, and customers who pay before they come.

02What we built

For visitors

  • The full menu, with sizes, set menus and allergens spelled out
  • Online ordering: step-by-step set menus, options, pickup or delivery slot
  • Pay online or on site, each can be switched on
  • Order on the spot by QR code outside the shop
  • “At the table” menu by QR code
  • Order tracking link and confirmation e-mail
  • French, English and Italian

For the team

  • Menu, sizes, options, photos and sold-out items live
  • Delivery towns, minimum order, slot capacity, opening hours
  • Real-time kitchen screen: order queue and statuses
  • Pause orders in one tap, separately for the site and the QR
  • Two separate roles enforced in the database: manager and kitchen
  • Promotions and featured dishes
  • Tracking of e-mails sent to customers

The management area is private: we describe it, we don't show it.

03The life of an order
